Hi all,

I'm working with aluminium cross-sections and I have some components of the section that are Class 2. Because of that I know that whole cross-section is considered Class 2 and its yield point is reduced.. but I don't know exactly where to find in Eurocode 9 the way of calculate HOW MUCH is reduced.. any help?

Thanks!

Sorry I've never used the aluminium european code before, but in the American code, they allow you to use " the weighted average allowable stress of the cross section" so that you have no need to consider the whole section as class2! but normally 90% of my mullion case fails due to lateral buckling ,not local buckling case.
