Dr. Arch. Stefano Fantucci is assistant professor in Building Physics at the Department of Energy of Politecnico di Torino. In 2018 He holds a PhD degree “cum laude” in Energetics from Politecnico and visiting PhD student in NTNU (Short term scientific mission granted by EU COST-Action 1403 “Adaptive Façade Network”) defending a thesis about Advanced materials for the energy retrofit of opaque building envelopes. Since 2019 he is qualified to enroll as associate professor in Italian Universities.
From 2013 to 2019 he was active member of the IEA-EBC Annex 65 and coordinator of the common-exercise related to Hygrothermal simulation of Super Insulating Materials in building envelopes. He participated in the EU H2020 project “Wall-ACE” on the development of aerogel based insulation products (thermal plaster, coating, fillers and clay bricks) (2016-2019), from 2019 he is involved in the EU H2020 “Powerskin+” project on the development of Highly advanced modular integration of insulation, energizing and storage systems for non-residential buildings.
His research activities are mainly focused on advanced technologies for energy-efficient building envelopes in which he co-authored more than 50 publications in national and international scientific journals and conference proceedings.
